Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: 2026-06-01 · Last updated: 2026-05-27

Counsel review pending.

This document is the operator-published version. The text below reflects current business practice and was drafted from industry-standard B2B SaaS clauses adapted to object storage specifics. Final legal review by qualified counsel in Thailand and Singapore is in progress; the controlling version will be re-published here when complete.

This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") is part of, and incorporated by reference into, the Terms of Service. The AUP applies to all use of the BangmodStorage Service. Violation may result in suspension or termination under §12 of the Terms.

1. Prohibited content

You may not use the Service to store, transmit, or distribute:

  • Content that violates applicable law, including content unlawful in Thailand under the Computer Crime Act B.E. 2550 (and amendments) or in Singapore under the Computer Misuse Act.
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — we report violations to the relevant authorities and preserve evidence as required.
  • Content that infringes third-party intellectual property, including pirated software, copyrighted media, or trade secrets you are not authorized to redistribute.
  • Material that facilitates fraud, money laundering, or terrorism financing.
  • Personal data of others collected or shared without lawful basis under PDPA or applicable privacy law.
  • Content that incites violence or constitutes harassment, doxxing, or threats.

2. Prohibited activities

  • Service abuse: attempts to bypass authentication, exceed rate limits via signature spoofing, or reverse-engineer the Service.
  • Malware distribution: hosting or distributing viruses, worms, ransomware, or unauthorized command-and-control infrastructure.
  • Spam-source storage: hosting content as part of unsolicited bulk email campaigns or phishing.
  • Cryptocurrency mining or proof-of-work workloads: the Service is for storage, not compute. Persistent unsolicited compute workloads on our hot tier are prohibited.
  • Bandwidth amplification: use of public-read buckets to source DDoS amplification or unauthorized open-relay-style egress.
  • Resale without authorization: reselling our storage as your own branded service without a written reseller agreement.

3. Limits to expect

These are not absolute prohibitions but constraints applied in the interest of fair multi-tenant usage:

  • Per-account default request-rate limits documented in the API docs; bursting beyond is throttled, not blocked.
  • Object size cap of 5 TB per object (S3-standard limit).
  • Bucket name format conforms to our published bucket-naming rules.
  • Sustained egress patterns inconsistent with normal storage use (e.g., terabytes of repeated egress of the same objects from anonymous public IPs) may trigger anti-abuse review.

4. Reporting abuse

If you believe content on the Service violates this AUP or applicable law, report it to abuse@bangmod.storage with the URL or bucket/key reference, your relationship to the content (rights-holder, affected party, etc.), and any supporting documentation. We respond to all reports within 2 business days; CSAM reports are handled immediately.

5. Our enforcement options

When we determine a violation has occurred, we may take any action proportionate to the violation, including:

  • Asking you to remove or remediate the content;
  • Restricting access to specific buckets, objects, or API keys;
  • Suspending the account pending investigation;
  • Terminating the account for material or repeated violations;
  • Preserving and disclosing data to law enforcement when required by valid legal process.

Where feasible and not contrary to law or our safety obligations, we will notify you before taking enforcement action and give you opportunity to remediate.

6. DMCA / copyright notices

Rights-holders alleging copyright infringement should send notice to dmca@bangmod.storage with: identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the allegedly infringing material with sufficient detail for us to locate it; contact information; a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized; a statement that the information is accurate under penalty of perjury; and a physical or electronic signature.

7. Repeat offenders

In appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, we will disable and/or terminate the accounts of customers who are repeat infringers.

8. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes are communicated as described in §14 of the Terms.
